We will never be in want

How can we believe in the presence of the absent and similarly believe in the absence of the present? – That is faith.

“When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

John 11:4NKJV

Often problems which comes in our life and the blessings which we cannot see, bothers us, however the Omniscient (all knowing) God does not worry - for as He is, He knows it all.

(often I imagine myself as a very small child before a very big God, the mountain before me is very big, yet its smaller than my God, to me the mountain seems scary, yet God is still smiling, for sure He can see what lies beyond and is assured that I am and will be safe, what I desire is to jump and climb on God’s shoulders so I may also see what He can see, however for now, His smile is sufficient for my comfort.)

Children’s in the Sunday school so easily learn the definition of faith as given in the Bible-

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Hebrews 11:1 NKJV

However even for the elders it takes a lifetime to really understand and know what real faith is.

Very recently (however I believe this is a normal norm prevalent in all generations), I was much burdened reading about suicides, how many lose hope and end their stay on earth (and opt to be tormented forever in hell).

Do you know how God functions in circumstances where we tend to lose hope?

This is what God told His people when they had lost all hope (they were blocked by the sea from before and the pursuing enemy from behind) :-

“And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.””

Exodus 14:13-14 NKJV

The command is to ‘Stand still and see what God will do,”

Often we hurry in our worry, however what faith demands is to trust God and wait on Him.

David while still a young Shepherd boy knew this blessed truth of life….

The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.

Psalm 23:1 NKJV

Is it not the concern for our ‘wants’ that troubles us always?

However let’s first check if God is our Shepherd and we are His sheep and if that be true, let’s be assured – We will never be in want.

God Bless,

Abraham
