To understand God and His understanding

We need to spend time with God to know Him better, yield completely to His perfect and blessed will to have the best peace and solace in our life and walk in perfect harmony with Him to continuously experience the blessedness in our life.

When Lazarus was dead, Jesus told to His disciples that Lazarus is asleep and He is going to wake him up.

The disciples literally thought that Lazarus was asleep, and spoke this to the Lord…

Then His disciples said, “Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.” However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep.

John 11:12-13 NKJV

Why did Jesus mention ‘being dead’ as ‘being asleep’?

We should learn that the end is not yet come until the Lord confirms it. We may have buried our aspirations, goals and desires of a blessed life, yet for God, it is not finished, He will call them out of the grave by name and lead us to our blessedness.

Karen Peck has wonderfully sung the blessed song : Four days late (available in youtube), in which is mentioned the story of Lazarus, for many may accuse Jesus as being ‘four days late’, yet He proves ‘He’s always on time’.

God is never late to come to our rescue-He is always on time.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:9 NKJV

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11NKJV

We might be standing before an impossibility in our life, however let’s not lose hope, let’s turn to God for help, for He alone has the best plan for us for every situation and circumstance, for there is nothing impossible for Him.
