                                               God’s Grace is Beyond Feelings

  ‘So that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.’ Acts 17:27 NKJV

Walking with our Lord, my faith deepened with greater trust recognizing; living for Christ is not about ‘self,’ but rather, growing and learning to abide ‘in Him.’ More than just knowing ‘about Him.’ Setting aside my own ‘feelings;’ I should strive by way of perseverance in ‘groping for Him.’ This is very similar to what Paul admonished in Philippians 2:12 as I work through my day, working out my salvation. This is not defined as ‘working for’ my salvation; Christ did that at the cross for each believer.

Miriam-Webster defines grope: ‘To look for something blindly or uncertainly.’ Couple this with Hebrews 11:1, ‘Now faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen.’
My faith is not always understood, but that doesn’t diminish the grace God gives me to reach up to him through faith, believing His omniscience  is far greater than my finite human reasoning. I dare not get in His way to resolve any given concern or allow my ‘feelings’ to become a stumbling block with words or actions that will not measure up to the power of His presence.

The authoritative power and promises from God’s infallible word has guided me through many situations; and is far superior over all the psychology that people might spend time and money; through purchasing ‘self-help’ books or psychological therapy sessions.

‘He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
