                                                      Forgiving others will be our pardon

Psalm 79:9 shares, ‘Help us O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; And deliver us and provide atonement for our sins, for your name’s sake.” [NKJV]

For the glory of His name! Forgiveness and forgiving others; what a treasure. To receive peace that overcomes resentment, bitterness, and anything else that would be a stumbling block to ourselves, or others we love, by drawing closer to His throne of grace. That’s what our Savior will give us.

 ‘But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.’ [Romans 8:9-10]

Our righteousness can only be ‘His Righteousness,’ when we empty ourselves onto the grace and mercy God gives us; that we should give to others. Living is not about ourselves, but wanting to become more Christlike to others around us.

 ‘If you say, “See we did not know this, does he not consider it who weighs the hearts? And does not He know it who keeps your soul? And will He not render to man according to his work?’ Proverbs 24:12

If the heart is not to please the Lord, where then, will we secure the peace and promise of His grace? It’s all about His sufficiency, not ours.

Within our individual walk of faith, when we empty ourselves 100 percent onto the prompting of His leading, forgiving others brings more awareness; even of our own pardon.
