                    Purpose in Giving Thanks

                 His precious blood gives life

                 For each passing hour

                 Sealed in His love, fullness and power

                Mystery it’s not, nor puzzle to solve

                Knowledge unlimited, not to just few

                Blessing revealed, when born anew

               Today, need not be for tomorrow

               Starting life new, why Jesus came

               His presence, His heavenly Name

                  Everlasting grace, enduring still

                 Destined purpose, no measure of time

                 Counsel of hope, His will for mine

                Praise to His Glory

                His promise, believe

                Bountiful riches, for us to receive

               Our inheritance secure

               Citizen of heaven, purchase assured

               Pilgrim’s path, walking His word

               Life anew by heaven’s design

               Bountiful in God’s love

               Thanksgiving, purpose above
