                                                  His Sufficiency

‘And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.’[2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NKJV]

God reminds me continually, I rest in His provision to carry me through those moments when I find I have no resource of my own. It was ‘His resource’ that brought me through in the past, and it will be His sufficiency to all my prayers, present, and future. 

When my heart is pounding at times for God to bring healing for a daughter-in-law in her battle with a brain tumor, for a grandson, finding the ‘narrow path’ Jesus speaks for new birth and victory over drug abuse; again, I’m to keep my heart and mind upon our Lord. My part is to praise and petition our lord understanding it will be God alone who brings victory to all my heart cries out to Him for. 1 Peter 5:7 instructs us to ‘cast all our anxieties on Him for He cares for you.’

When I fight the ‘good fight of faith’ through prayer, I am certain God hears my every petition and praise to Him. I’m reassured through the faith He assigns me, [Romans 12:3] the burdens on my heart I bring before Him are under the authority and sufficiency of His amazing love. ‘Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.’ [Ephesians 3:20] Mostcertainlyit’s all about resting in the power of His presence and sufficiency
