The rebuilding of the third Jewish temple is a large piece of Bible prophecy given in Revelation 11:1-2. Along with that will be a return to sacrificial worship. For that to happen a perfect red heifer with no blemish is required. The Temple Institute recently announced that they "have taken a bold move towards the third" temple by deciding to raise cows in accordance to biblical requirements.

Working in partnership with an Israeli cattle rancher, the institute will use a controlled environment with a knowledge of advanced science. The process will involve implanting frozen red Angus embryos into domestic cattle. If a perfect red heifer is born it will be raised within strict Old Testament guidelnes.

All the steps for this part of prophecy are falling into place. Besides the red heifers, over 70 implements to be used in temple worship, including the golden menorah and the high priest's breastplate, have been completed and are ready to go. Architectural plans for the structure have been in the works for quite some time. Money is being raised.

Why is the third Jewish temple important in the last days prior to the Tribulation? It says in II Thessalonians 2:3-4 that "the man of lawlessness...the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship...will take his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God." According to many prophecy scholars the person taking his seat in the temple is the anti-Christ. The desecration is the "Abomination of Desolation" spoken of in Matthew 24:15. This has huge ramifications for the Jews.

The next three verses, 16-18, warn, "Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to get the things out that are in his house, and let him who is in the field not turn back to get his cloak." Some people believe that the Jews will take refuge in the ancient city of Petra, a mountain haven presently being rebuilt, and will be supernaturally protected by God.

The stage is being set for a great spiritual "drama" unfolding before all of humanity. The props are being erected and put in place. The characters are coming on the scene and assuming their roles. The script was already written thousands of years ago in the Holy Bible. Lighting and sound are being readied. The director, God, will be in charge. The curtain is about to open. The temple scenario, though, is only one of many acts of the drama. Many other events soon to happen have implications for each and every person on planet Earth. Matthew 24:21 warns "for there will be a great tribulation such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall."

Jesus, out of love for all people, warned us about this time that is soon to come upon us. Accept him today! He is the Son of God in human flesh, who made claims about himself that would not be wise to cast aside. He is the only religious leader who rose from the dead and whose Holy Spirit is living in the hearts and lives of millions of people.
