A Bible prophecy being fulfilled today is found in I Timothy 4:1-2. "But the Spirit explicitly says that in the latter times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron." This verse mentions four specific end times attitudes: falling away from the faith, giving attention to deceitful spirits, doctrines of demons, and people having no conscience.

There is obviously a great turning away from the faith. Many people are being deceived in a variety of ways. The occult and specifically satan worship is at an all-time high. I will elaborate on the last point, having no conscience. This is behind what is happening in ISIS, Planned Parenthood, and same-sex marriage.

The barbarians involved in ISIS have no mercy to anyone; Every single person on planet Earth, except those who share their beliefs, is fair game. These people see nothing wrong with beheading or killing by other brutal means. They have no conscience.

Planned Parenthood and its staunch supporters like Obama and Harry Reid see absolutely nothing wrong with taking the lives of millions of unborn babies and then selling their body parts. Even though there is public outrage, these people don't care. Franklin Graham recently used the same two words, "no conscience," in reference to this organization.

It is also shocking that so many "Christians" have sided with the gay agenda and same-sex marriage.

In all of these above cases people have become "seared in their conscience, as with a branding iron." According to gotQuestions?org, people who fall away from what they know to be the truth, who intentionally deceive others, and fall prey to satanic spirits have no conscience because they have been literally "cauterized." This is a medical term meaning to burn or freeze flesh around a wound, usually to close it off or to clean it. "Such a conscience does not work properly, it's as if 'spiritual scar tissue' has dulled the sense of right and wrong, being rendered insensitive."

God knew that this would happen in this age, even in America, so he had the inspired men of God write it. Mankind has chosen to reject God with the belief that there is no accountability to a creator. It won't be long before they will find out how wrong they are. God has already had the final say. "For the Lord of hosts will have a day of reckoning, against everyone who is proud and lofty, and against everyone who is lifted up, that he may be abased"(Isaiah 2:12), and that "every mouth may be closed, and all the world may become accountable to God"(Romans 3:19). How about you? Are you developing a seared conscience, or are you holding yourself accountable to God?
