Is ISIS a fulfillment of Bible prophecy? The answer is "yes." There are three reasons for saying so. First, the Bible says that in the last days prior to the Tribulation Period that there will be an intense increase in evil deeds. Matthew 24:37 says, "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah." In those days, recorded in Genesis 6:5 and 11, "Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thought of his heart was only evil continually," and "the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence."

Second, there is a verse in Revelation 6:8 that adds something very specifically. It mentions the sword. We all know that this is the primary tool they use for beheading their victims. John, the Revelator, wrote, "And I looked, and behold an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. And authority was given to him over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword..." This brutality is only going to get worse! Did you catch what this verse said? The sword, along with famine, pestilence(disease), and wild beasts of the earth, will affect one fourth of the earth!

The third reason is found in Revelation 20:4. Are you ready for what this verse declares? "...And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the Word of God..."

These are rather sobering verses, aren't they. We cannot, however, pick and choose what we want to accept from scripture. It is either all inspired, or none of it is. Our politicians and news reporters are always wanting to analyze the world conditions and come up with "motives." The Bible already has the answer. The continual evil is an indication of humanity that has rejected God, and is sinking to its lowest level. Not only that, some of these people do not understand how a person with a good history and background can do such evil acts. They just don't get it! Here is the answer: They are recruited and then INDOCTRINATED WITH EVIL. Romans 1:30 uses the phrase, "inventors of evil." THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING! The only answer is lives transformed by the power and grace of God, through his son, Jesus Christ.
