How does a person know, out of all the religious beliefs and denominations that exist, which ones are of the truth?
The Bible gives the answer in I John, chapter 4, verses 1-2."Beloved, do not believe every Spirit, but test the Spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God." (See also 4:15)
Of course, if one does not believe the Bible to begin with, that is another problem. That person will be "tossed about with every wind of doctrine."
