Oh to know You better,
To linger here with You,
To feel Your presence ever near
As fresh as morning dew.

To share with You my hopes and dreams,
My problems and my cares,
To place them, leave them, in Your hands
Through simple, trusting prayers.

To trust You so implicitly
I carry no more doubt,
To linger in such loving arms
There's nothing I hold out.

To understand I'm in those arms
Though busy I may be,
And yet my spirit and my soul
Are absolutely free.

Free from all anxieties
For I am in Your care,
No matter where my body roams
Still You are ever there.

For nothing ever touches me
That Your arms don't allow,
For in Your presence I know peace
Not furrows on my brow.

I want to know You better,
To know what You desire,
I want to please You most of all
And others to inspire.
