Love so amazing so divine
Christ left His Royal Abode
To live as Man among sinful man
Leaving the pleasures of Kingship
To be a servant of the ungrateful

How could it be that He who was King
Could come and be born with slaves,
With outcasts fit for hell?
How could it be that He would leave heaven above
And come and be one with us?

Love so amazing so divine
It compelled Him and drove Him
To reconcile a dying world to His Father.
Love so amazing so divine
That Jesus was born to save you and I

Love drove Him to a small town
Born away from the hustles and bustles of life
Yet His coming was to do so great a work
Love so amazing so divine
Jesus came on a silent night

Angels could only sing
Shepherds could only wonder
Wise men could only follow
But God could only say,
"It is a love so amazing so divine."
