One night, two vagabond travelers collided in a damp midnight alley, strangers to the area and each other. His slender form slithered out of nowhere toward her round shape like an insistent snake. What was she to do? No one would hear a scream in this dark, narrow place. Strangely, she did not feel alarmed. In a mystical way, she had been expecting him.
One thing she knew for certain: there would be no escape from his persistent approach. She felt a shiver at his first touch, almost as if he could crawl beneath her skin. She did not resist it, and they continued on together in the darkness.
“Who are you? Where did you come from? What are you doing here?” she finally gasped, but to no avail. They must keep moving, always moving. “What’s going to happen?” Silence. He evaded her questions. Either he didn’t know or didn’t care.
They enveloped each other in an inseparable embrace as they traveled, and finally the destination appeared – a small, hidden cave. This hideout would become a fugitive home during ensuing days. “What’s happening? Why this place?” There were still no sure answers. Not yet.
Long months passed, and one day, God’s hand moved over this secluded spot. At exactly the appointed hour, He anointed it with His blessing. There was a new kind of stirring within the cave: pregnant hope. Another lifestyle beckoned as something grand and expansive called from beyond this trapped existence. There would be freedom; there would be NEW LIFE!
What began back in that secluded alley would finally be finished.
Suddenly, without warning, the cave shook as if with a series of earthquakes. The entry fell open, and light exploded as its occupant tumbled out – blinding, brash light; very good, wonderful light. A deep voice - was it God Himself, or His servant? - spoke with flabbergasted emotion from somewhere within the light. “OHHHHHH! We didn’t … couldn’t … know this!”
Another shrill, anxious voice, also within the light, squeaked a worried question. “So is she …” There was a strained pause. “ … is she … alright?”
The first voice laughed out loud, with a twinge of shock coloring its announcement. “The ultrasound was wrong! IT’S A BOY!”

I liked the set-up though I fear there may be some people who don't get it. I think it is a very creative POV and right on topic.
