Said Timmy to his dad,
“And when I’m flyin’ up real high,
I’ll see folks actin’ bad.
I’ll look for people needin’ help
Whenever they’re in trouble,
And then I’ll zoom at them so fast,
I’ll get there on the double.
I’ll lift up cars and trains and stuff
Because I’ll be that strong.
I’ll use my powers just for good
And won’t do nothin’ wrong.”
“What makes you think,” said Timmy’s dad,
“You might be Superman?
The last I knew, you thought you’d be
The bravest fireman.”
“My teacher said in Sunday School
That what a man would be,
Was what he’s thinkin’ in his heart,
And Superman suits me.”
“While Superman is make-believe
And not a man for real,
It’s fine for you to just pretend
To be the man of steel.
And then I hope you won't forget
The best of Superman:
To always look for those in need
And help them when you can.”

I would have liked to hear what the little boy responded with.
