Delicious perfection! Loved it.
Well, this may sound just a tad odd, but this felt romantically sad to me. I actually felt sorry for this faithful servant of the earth. Excellent poem!

I loved this. Your descriptions were exquisite. It probably helps that I love! cherries. Seriously, though, this is beautiful.
Love the title! My grandmother had an old cherry tree just like the one you described.
This reminds me of the cherry tree that was in my back yard as a child. I was so sad when it finally gave up the fight and stopped producing the wonderful fruit. Thank you for a nice trek into my childhood that I had totally forgotten until I read your words.
Congratulations! Really enjoyed this.
