The Founding Fathers came here,
To worship as they pleased,
Our new country was grounded,
In truths learned on their knees,
The course was set before them,
In words that God had given,
The laws that were established,
Were “Ten Commandments” driven.
Known as a Christian nation,
Our leaders sought God's face,
And then received a blessing,
His mercy and His grace.
“No more a Christian nation,”
The President has said,
Abandoning the values,
By which this land was led.
Supporting “same sex marriage,”
With Presidential nod,
This gross abomination
Offends the heart of God.
What unholy alliance
Has somehow taken place,
Resulting in defiance,
Thrown in God's holy face?
Or is it that God's people
Have learned to compromise,
No longer strong enough to
Compete with Satan's lies?
Many churches try to be
Politically correct,
They preach a “feel good Gospel,”
And willfully neglect...
The message of salvation,
That says we're all condemned,
Save for the blood of Jesus,
That covers all our sin.
Where are the true believers,
And will we take a stand,
Or will apathy destroy
This once God-fearing land?
What will we tell our children,
And who will take the blame,
When we have lost the freedom,
To pray in Jesus' Name?
Our country is in need of
Revival, Heaven-sent,
Will we turn our hearts to God,
Before His mercy's spent?
That God is just is certain,
His judgment's at the gate,
Will we heed His wake-up call,
Before it is too late?
The warning is not just for
America to hear,
The whole world needs to hear it,
As Judgment Day draws near.
Every person on the earth
Will stand before God's throne,
The answer to God's question
Is “Christ, and Christ alone.”

My husband recently posted a link to an anti-gay marriage letter people could sign and send to their local politicians. He was called so many names, told his view was 'disgusting' and 'sickening' and shunned by many, even family. Many Christians I know are also on the equality bandwagon, and it breaks my heart.
I applaud your brave stand and know that God is proud of you, his child, for honouring him. Well done.
