and what do you suppose I could spy?
A fat little critter with long floppy ears,
flying so fast it brought me to fears.
I frowned to imagine just what was flying.
What I saw my eyes were not buying.
It was a pig, soaring straight up high.
My heart missed a beat as I said, “Oh my!”
I had heard others say this wasn't possible,
but now it seemed to be more than plausible.
I could see plainly his cute little snout,
and there he was, sky-flying about.
Followed by clouds of pinks and blues,
pastel colors of ice cream hues.
Never have I seen a sight so pretty,
zigzagging above the great big city.
Now, I know pigs don't have ears that long,
but this one did, and my were they strong.
Flapping in rhythm to keep him aloft,
slapping his belly all chubby and soft.
What powers could he surely possess?
He must have magic, would be my guess.
That a pig might fly just doesn't make sense.
If I told anyone, they would think me dense.
Oh no! All at once, he came diving at me!
I fell on the ground as flat as could be.
He must have seen me laughing at him.
At that scary moment my lights went dim.
Suddenly, my eyes popped open wide,
a quart sized container at my side.
I rubbed my eyes, it was only a dream!
I shouldn't have eaten all that ice cream!
