One of my grandsons and I experience visions and auras. I consider it more of a curse than a blessing. If asked, I could have told you that my father was going to die, before the doctor made the announcement – his aura changed. Both my grandson and I see things move in space, and I often believe that small children do too. Most of us have watched a baby grasp at the air.
I also looked at a web site of a gentleman who says he sees visions, and if a reader will just send him some bucks he will be glad to make a prediction or a reading. Betcha he has a deck of Tarot cards too, maybe even a black cape. Okay, so much for snide remarks.
Visions are Biblical. From Genesis to Revelation there are hundreds of references to visions, appearances, or mysterious sights. So, with that information on my desktop, I checked on auras – oops, no mention. Halo and glow is not represented either, although I believe the aura seen above Christ and others simply is articulated differently. So, I broadened the search, I put in light – Wow. Strong’s gave me about a thousand hits; Bullinger did the same.
Truth is, all of us have visions, why? Well, when we get our interview with the Lord we can ask Him. But, my theory, based on nothing more than a worn KJV, is that we are given just a glimpse of something we do not understand. Hey, we can’t begin to comprehend God and all of His mysteries. He lets us know what we need to know.
Most people suppress all of this aura and vision nonsense; we tend to ignore and become oblivious to things we do not understand nor particularly want to understand. Some people go overboard the other way and work themselves into a psychosis to where, with the right suggestion, they could see Mother Teresa riding a goat backward through downtown Denver. Now, before y’all blow a gasket, let me say, I believe that some very gifted folks can see spiritual visions – but not the wholesale lot of any given group – I believe it is an individual gift.
Gifts of seeing are rare, and definitely not for the short discussion of this challenge, but better discussed with mature adults in a Christian setting. Seeing/foreseeing, predictions, prophecy, or whatever, are often tied to visions. Again, I refer to the above paragraph – plausible but not common.
Now, for the strange gift my grandson and I share, like I said at the beginning of this diatribe – it’s not particularly spiritual or unspiritual – it just is.
Matthew 13:13 This why I speak to them in parables; ‘Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.’

I suspect I know this writer, and if I'm right, your usual stuff if not "tripe!" And the aura business...don't know what to think about that, but it sounds like you certainly have it in perspective. So to speak. Thanks for sharing!
This is a subject that rides the edge of accepted expereinces. It would be nice to see some historical as well as some experiencial evidence for this "gift" in your report. You kinda got to the point a little slow in the begining and dropped the ending. But I like your courage at presenting the subject. Thanks.
