The littlest black sheep.
He’s one of those who got away
From shepherdess, Bo Peep.
The hardest part for Bo Peep was
She couldn’t ever find them,
But he came home when others did,
His tail a-wag behind him.
He’s not to be mistaken for
The lamb that Mary had.
He never tried to go to school
Nor make the children glad.
There is a rhyme about him though,
And probably you’ve read it,
About his generosity.
For that, he should get credit.
You know, the little nursery tale
Which asked if he had wool,
And he responded that he did;
In fact, he’d three bags full?
He’d given all his wool away,
To master and to dame,
With last one to the little boy
Who lived just down the lane.
It’s sad how he throughout the years,
Has gotten a bad name—
As black sheep of his family
With evil on him blamed.
Although this sheep is different;
He’s not like all the rest,
The Good Lord died for Him as well
And wants him to be blessed.

Thank you.
God bless~
Mary had her little lamb
With vegatables and mint sauce
"Oh dearest lamb,"
she cried, "I am
As hungry as a horse!"
But despite that, thanks for the scope of your simple verse. It's very well done - or maybe medium-rare ;-)
Children and adults alike will love to read your cleverly written poem. Thank you for your inspiring writing week after week!
