The time they consume, is gone forever!
Making the best of , all the time given,
Is how the Good Book, mandates our living.
With the free will that, God gives to our soul.
We make the choices, that define our goals.
Some live for money, others live for fame,
While only a few, to honor His name.
Enjoy we should all, our blessings of Earth,
Without losing sight of eternal worth.
Most seem to find time, for the “wood, hay, straw,”#
But don’t find the time, for what we’re here for.
God’s not in Heaven, to grant us our fill,
But on Earth are we, here to do His will.
Just think where we’d be, when if, in God’s mind
Salvation was not, worth spending His time.
Of God’s blessings that, Man has discovered,
Time is one thing that, can’t be recovered.
Each of our minutes, once passed on in time,
Can no longer be, called ours, yours, or mine.
All of them become, a part of our life,
Many of them wasted, in nonsense and strife.
“So teach us (O Lord), to number our days,”#
So when life is o’er, we receive Your praise.#
