It is a lovely day in Churchyland. Here come the Cleezykin. They are ready to play.
THE CLEEZY KIN ENTER AND WAVE IN TURN.
Narrator
Peace be with you Vik
TRILL (ASCEND IN ARPEGIO FOR EACH CLEEZYKIN AS THEY WAVE)
Narrator
Peace be with you Queenie
Narrator
Peace be with you So-So
Narrator
And peace be with you, Yo!
THE CLEEZY KIN GROUP HUG
Narrator
Look! The Cleezykin are one big happy family. Isn’t that nice!
Narrator
The Cleezykin are getting ready for Sunday Worship. They are very busy.
CLEEZYKIN RUN AROUND BEING BUSY
Narrator
Vik is preparing a talk. What are going to talk about Vik?
VIK SIGNS “Spirit” AND “Present”
Spiritual gifts? That’s a great topic Vik.
VIK GOES TO EDGE OF THE STAGE TO STUDY A BIG BIBLE
Narrator
Vik is going somewhere quiet to finish his talk.
Narrator
Queenie is going to pray for the service.
QUEENIE HOLDS HANDS TOGETHER AND GOES TO THE OTHER END OF THE STAGE TO PRAY
Queenie is going to find somewhere quiet to pray.
Narrator
Yo has gone out side to play football with his friends.
YO CHARGES OFF STAGE WITH FOOTBALL
Narrator
So-So is getting Churchyland ready for everyone.
SO-SO GETS OUT BOX OF THINGS
Narrator
So-So is doing the dusting.
SO-SO GRABS DUSTER AND DUSTS
Narrator
So-So is scrubbing the floor
SO-SO GETS DOWN ON HER KNEES AND SCRUBS
Narrator
So-So is putting out the chairs.
SO-SO PLACES A ROW OF CHAIRS
Narrator
So-So is making the drinks.
SO-SO QUICKLY PUTS CUPS OUT ON THE TABLE.
Narrator
So-So is arranging the flowers.
SO-SO HURRIEDLY DUMPS A BUNCH OF FLOWERS IN A VASE
So-So is very tired.
SO-SO YAWNS AND MOPS BROW.
So-So is very stressed out.
SO-SO CLUTCHES HER HEAD
And the Service is about to begin.
SO-SO LOOKS AT HER WATCH AND PANICS
Narrator
Here comes Vik. Vik sees that So-So has not put out the news sheet. Vik is very cross about the news sheet.
VIK WAVES A NEWS SHEET AT SO-SO AND TELLS HER OFF IN SCRIBBLE TALK.
Narrator
Here comes Queenie. Queenie sees that So-So has not put out the song books. Queenie is very cross about the song books.
QUEENIE WAVES A SONG BOOK AT SO-SO AND TELLS HER OFF
Narrator
YO RETURNS DUMPS HIS SPORT KIT ON THE FLOOR
Here comes Yo. Yo does not notice that the floor has been cleaned. Yo is covered in mud. So-So is very cross about the mud.
SO-SO POINTS AT FLOOR AND TELLS OFF YO
Narrator
Oh Dear! The Cleezykin have started to fight!
MOCK FIGHT ENSUES
Narrator
Naughty Cleezykin!
CLEEZY KIN CARRY ON REGARDLESS
Narrator
What happens to naughty Cleezykin?
That’s right. They are sent to the naughty stair.
Cleezykin
O Oh!
MUSIC (DESCEND IN ARPEGIO FOR EACH CLEEZYKIN AS THEY SIT)
Narrator
Yo sits on his naughty stair
SITS ON EDGE OF STAGE. HANDS ON CHIN.
Narrator
So-So sits on her naughty stair
SITS ON ANOTHER EDGE OF STAGE HANDS ON HIPS IN HUFF
Narrator
Queenie sits on her naughty stair
SITS PRIMLY WITH HANDBAG ON LAP
Narrator
Vik sits on his naughty stair.
SITS ON STAIR STARING AT BIBLE
Narrator
So-So, Why did you start the fight?
SCRIBBLE TALK, ANGRY GESTURES
Narrator
So-So says she was upset because the other Cleezy kin did not value her gift and did not help to get Churchyland ready for Worship Time.
Vik why did you not help So-So?
SCRIBBLE TALK. POINTING AT BIBLE.
Narrator
Vik says that the gift of teaching is important.
Narrator
Queenie, why did you not help So-So.
SCRIBBLE TALK. PRAYING HANDS.
Narrator
Queenie says that the gift of praying is important.
Narrator
Yo, why did you not help So-So?
SHOWS FOOTBALL
Narrator
Yo thinks that football is more important.
SO-SO CRIES
Narrator.
You could not have a Worship Service if some-one did not get the place ready. Service is a very good gift. You should all say “thank you” to So-So.
CLEEZY KIN SHAKE HANDS IN SIGN OF PEACE IN TURN
Narrator
Yo says “thank you”
Narrator
Queenie says “thank you”
Narrator
Vik says “thank you” and sorry for making the floor muddy.
Narrator
You can all help So-So put things away when you finish.
CLEEZYKIN RELUCTANTLY AGREE.
Cleezykin
OK!
Narrator
Now show that you love each other very much.
CLEEZYKIN GROUP HUG
Narrator
Ah! See how the Cleezykin are one big happy family again.
Now everything is lovely in Churchyland once more!

This play is inspired by Toddler TV programmes such as “Teletubbies” and “In The Night Garden”. perfromers should get a good feel for set design and delivery of this sketch by watching a few episodes.

A suggestion: study some published skits and scripts for conventions of scriptwriting: Character names followed by a colon, stage directions in parenthesis, etc.
I'd be very interested to know if there's something significant about the word "Cleezykin" or if it's just a fun word. The script is adorable.
