Yearning thoughts of pending birth,
Shall God bless us with a son or daughter?
Midnight pains begin the crusade,
Very quickly appears our Jade,
My husband smiles, “It’s another daughter.”
With brunette hair and blue-green eyes,
Our second child grows and thrives,
An independent spirit has this daughter.
She learns to walk just like the other,
But differences astonish her mother,
What diversity is found in this daughter.
Days are filled with walks and school,
She loves to play April fools,
What a sense of humor has this daughter.
Colors are an important matter,
One at a time, and do not splatter,
Hues are very crucial to this daughter.
Her love of music then appears,
She marches as a Pioneer,
Cheers show my gladness with this daughter.
Although shy while very young,
Through drama class an actress is sprung,
Lord what a change was made in this daughter.
A lovely lady she becomes,
Nights are spent consoling chums,
Such an amazing someone is this daughter.
She turns to God through many years,
Even sharing with her peer’s,
God is working through his special daughter.
Searching for a career to sustain,
Many decisions do remain,
Lord continue your guidance for this daughter.
As I watch her life unfold,
Constantly I do behold,
Another astounding day with this daughter.
What shall her future now impart,
Most certainly will impact a heart,
Thank you God for this reverent daughter.

A few forced rhymes here and there, and your title, although it picks up on one of the stanzas, doesn't really seem to match the piece.
I feel as if I know Jade after reading this sweet poem.

I thought this rhyme was especially good, "What shall her future now impart, Most certainly will impact a heart,"
