‘Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, Lord, for you are with me,
Your shepherd’s rod and staff protect me.’ Psalm 23:4.

You are my rod and staff, my Lord and master.
It is with you that I tread upon the unseen, the hidden, fears that haunt my inner self.
No journey hails a true direction when driven by fear but with the shadow of your staff my Lord, my passage is true and clear.
No beasts nor serpents, nor fowl of the air, can swoop upon my heart when protected by your rod of love.
You are my shield when rocks are thrown, you guard me from all adversity and retain my thoughts in clarity.
I call to you in earnest Lord, keep me ever near, bind me in your presence Lord, retain me, sustain me, be my breath, my air.
Guide me to the sheepfold Lord, direct me in my true path, be it not as I choose Lord but only let your will be done.
In gladness I sing you praises Lord, it is with you that my voice rises upon eagle’s wings.
Skyward, earth-bound, a mist within space and time, in all, with all, through all, my Lord reigns supreme.
Within this bounty of true joy, I gladly journey forth, into the darkness, stepping into the future, the unknown.
You are my shepherd, you carry the staff of time, you are my sanctuary, my keeper, my love of all loves, my haven and shelter.
Within your heart I rest and sleep, in the peace of eternal love.
