I can hardly believe I am here at this dream job! I want you to know that our prayers are being answered every day. It’s such a thrill to see how God is working in my life right now, and I do know it is largely due to your prayers for me.
The first miracle was that I met Kandi, another new nurse my age. She is as far from home as I am, and she lives around the corner from me so we walk the short distance together to the hospital. We have a lot in common including our faith. God is so good!
Then the next thing I am praising God for is the Head Nurse. She is very kind but demands our best every day. There is no yelling or dirty looks, just guidance and letting us know that she expects excellence. She does this in such a way that I truly want to give her just that. Again, God is so good!
The other nurses that I have met are friendly and helpful for the most part. There are a couple of them who don’t act like they are happy doing what they are doing. I am praying about asking them if they are happy here or not. Life is too short to hate to get up in the morning and go to something that is just a “job.”
Even the custodians are kind. I have always respected people in that position because I know how hard they work and how important their work is. Remember all those years that we cleaned church as a family? I sure do! Anyway, they have my respect and appreciation. They have a terribly important job. Can you imagine what a place like this would be like without people who do a good job cleaning?
I haven’t met very many of the doctors yet, but the ones I have met seem to be very conscientious about helping their patients, and that earns them my respect. I happened to see one of them in an office praying. That was awesome.
I guess I could go on and on about the people who work here. I am blessed to be part of such a caring group. I intend to earn their respect too and to let the light of Jesus shine through all of my cracks to everyone around me. Thank you so much for your ongoing prayers.
With all my love,
Your daughter, Katie
