a private time--just God and you
baring your soul to Him who’s true;
gathering to read God-breathed words
then sharing with others what you’ve heard.
Fellowship can be. . .
a welcoming smile, a friendly wave
by acts of kindness you can save;
loving each other, His divine command
a language all people can understand.
Fellowship can be. . .
a testimony given for another’s gain
a confidence whispered from buried pain;
bonding together through family ties
in Christ’s love you’re Christianized.
Fellowship is. . .
what the disciples shared long ago
with a friend, Jesus they came to know,
mentoring and mirroring lessons learned
teaching grace is free, it’s never earned.
Fellowship is . .
sticking together, uniting as one
encouraging others, there’s souls to be won;
shining your lights for others to see
living for Jesus wholeheartedly.
Fellowship is . . .
brightening a world darkened by sin
through acts of kindness again and again;
collective efforts that are Spirit led
nourishing hearts which need to be fed.
John 15:15-17 (NLT) . . .Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. I command you to love each other.
