Candidates without a rhyme or reason.
It’s hard to tell one from the other,
What lies they tell, oh brother!
The Donald with his potty mouth,
Hillary wins big in the south.
Bernie’s socialistic ways,
Rubio stutters less these days.
Then there’s the guy who goes by Cruz,
To Hillary he will surely lose.
Kasich seems a very nice fellow,
His calming ways make him so mellow.
Who’s to know just how to choose?
Who’s to win and who’s to lose?
I pray to God for His direction,
Which deserves my own affection?
I look into my own deep soul,
To picture each one in the roll,
As leader of this God’s blessed land,
I see the ones I cannot stand.
Still, I sift through who is left,
The choices leave me quite bereft,
It all comes down to who to trust,
Who loves the Lord? Who is unjust?
I walk into the voter’s booth,
Searching deep down for the truth,
Suddenly, I know which one,
God speaks to me; His will is done.
