Bananas grinned. Oh yeah? Watch this. Bananas turned her head. "Hey, Kong! We've got visitors!"
Peanut and Bananas watched as Kong burst from the back of the habitat with a loud scream. He ran at full speed and pounded on the glass with his mighty fists.
Bananas burst out laughing, as the people ran away. "Look at them. Cowards. All of them. I love it when he does that."
Peanut sat down and stared out the glass. "Awww. Look. You made the baby one cry. Nice going, Kong."
"You've always had a soft spot for people, Peanut." Bananas sat next to her sister.
"I can't help it. I just feel so bad for them, living in their cages. I mean, look at us. We've got people trained to feed us, and clean our habitat, and everything. They even clean up our... poo. All we have to do is lounge around and make people laugh." Peanut glared at Kong "Or cry in your case. Don't you ever feel bad for them?"
Kong sat down, joining his sisters. "Well, sure, sometimes, but do you think they really know anything else?" He leaned back. "Most of them have never experienced freedom and don't even know what it's like to have everything handed to them. They don't know what they're missing. You know?"
Peanut shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah, I guess."
Bananas looked at them, a sly smile on her face. "Sometimes I wonder if we can free the people. Like... we all run at the glass at the same time and try to break it or something. I want to let them out. Give them a taste of our world."
Peanut and Kong stared at her. Kong stood, stroking his tail. "You don't think..."
Peanut stood up. "Want to try?"
Bananas walked to the back with them. "On the count of three. Ready? One... Two... Three!"
With a mighty run, all three of them ran at the glass and hit it full speed, knocking themselves to the floor in a fit of giggles. They watched the people scatter once again.
Kong stood up, holding his head. "Oy. That one hurt. Who's bright idea was that anyway?"
Peanut and Kong stared at Bananas.
"Now wait just one second. I never said I wanted to actually do it." She pointed at Kong. "You're the one who rallied the troops."
"And you two went along with me."
Peanut stood up. "Hey. I just thought of something. What if we're the ones trapped, and they're the ones who are free?"
The three siblings looked at each other. "Naw."
Kong shook his head. "Geeze, Peanut. You must have hit your head harder than we thought."
