Lyn's love of writing began when she was in grade school and continued for her own personal enjoyment until she was married. She has three grownup children and nine grandchildren between the ages of two and twenty one.
Raising her three children on her own from when they were 1, 3, and 5 years old combined with ill health contributed to a lapse in her writing until 1984, when she won the inaugural "Double Gamma Award" for best Science Fiction writer in a competition run by the combined Australian Dr Who Fan Clubs.
Once again, writing took a back seat as her children reached high school and it wasn't until her pastor's wife introduced her to Faithwriters in 2008 that Lyn began writing again.
Lyn's joy in writing has now taken off and she has won two Editor's Choice awards through Faithwriters well as first, second and third places in the weekly writing challenge.
Lyn has just finished writing her first book, "Lost and Found" - an adventure novel set in Australia and aimed at early teens. It is currently being edited and Lyn hopes to see it in print by the end of next year. It was a finalist in the 2011 Caleb Awards for unpublished manuscripts.
Lyn's desire is to write articles, stories and poems which will encourage and build up fellow Christians and perhaps even make them laugh.
