Arrested. Betrayed. Mocked. Beaten.
They all asked, “Are you the Son of God?”
He replied, “You are right in saying I am.”
Tried. Condemned. Sentenced.
“He was led like a lamb to the slaughter.”
They crucified him.
“Father, forgive them….”
Sun stopped shining. Temple curtain torn in two.
Jesus called out, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”
Breathed his last.
“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here.”
He has risen!
Released. Faithful. Esteemed. Alive.
“You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”
I am established. Justified. Forgiven.
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them,
and I will raise them up at the last.”
“This is my blood of the covenant,
which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sin.”
“We walk in the light as He is in the light.”
