TITLE: HERO'S

If I would ask my kids who were their hero's I know for a fact that it wouldn't be me. Sometimes I think that they think I'm more of their enemy than hero.
In my mind, a hero is someone who has done a miracluous act they saved someone from harm and danger. A hero is someone who stands out from the crowd. He or she is a person who isn't dominated by fear. I'm not saying that they don't get afraid they won't allow fear to stop them.
After viewing the movie "Passion", the hero in my mind is in the person of Jesus. In the movie, Jesus was beaten severly. At moments I couldn't take looking at the movie because the beatings were so bloody, intense and violent.
The miraclous act that Jesus did was he came down in a body of human. He healed the sick and he raised the dead. Plus, in order for me to have a chance at abundant and enternal life, he died on the cross for my sins. Jesus saved me from harm and danger inflicted by Satan. He stood out in the crowd because when the woman was caught in adultery and was about to be stoned. Jesus stood up and told the crowd,"he who hasn't sinned throw the first stone".
Jesus had some fear issues because he wanted the bitter cup to pass but his Father's will was more important than his fear. Jesus didn't allow his feelings to stop him because he did what he had to do for HIS father.
Proclaiming Jesus is not a lightly admission. Most folks call Michael Jordan and Superman their hero. Yet, I know of no man who can raised the dead, I don't know any man who can heal a sick person. I don't know any man who can sustain and maintain a persons mind or emotion. Jesus is the only and likely candidate for being a hero because he has and is doing more than what we can ask or think. Thanks for being my hero JESUS.
