One trait of God
...is that He is a whisperer,
This God's Word
...certainly makes quite clear.
He draws very near
...to those who count Him dear
Whispering tenderly
...in their inner heart's ear.
Yes, He whispers...
...But are we able to hear?
Or do we retreat
...with confusion or in fear?
If you do so,
...no longer resist Whisperer.
Quiet your heart
...'til His voice is very clear.
If you do this,
...you'll find He'll whisper more,
He'll often knock
...at your heart's wide open door.
And He'll often
...draw near to commune with you.
He'll often whisper
...to you of His love so true.
So try to learn
...to hear His still small voice.
Doing so requires
...that you make a quality choice
To wait quietly
...'til you hear His wooing voice.
What you hear
...will give you reason to rejoice.
