TITLE: Whispers

DaeRon sat in the floor racing his hot wheel car up and down the cushioned pew.
"Does God likes cats best?" he bellowed.
"Shhh," his mother replied. She looked around at the elder couple behind her a little embarrassed.
"But mom, does Jesus likes cats the best? came the innocent five year old's voice.
She glanced around again as the murmur of the Sunday morning crowd began to die down in preparation for communion.
"Shhhh, God likes whispers. Did you learn about Noah and the Ark in Sunday School?" she asked.
"No." the tot replied.
Just as the communion cup was being passed around DaeRon blurted out, "God does to like whiskers cause my cat's going to heaven."
The mother chuckled aloud. She looked around and the elderly man and woman were grinning too. The elderly woman looked at the little boy and said, "What is your cat's name?"
DaeRon replied, "Faith!" and the entire pew of people laughed.
