Come let us rejoice in our Savior,
Give praise and honor to Him.
For He came to earth to save us.
To free us from bondage to sin.
Forsaking the glory of heaven,
Our Savior to earth came down.
He was born as a babe to Mary,
Then wrapped in a swaddling gown.
Christ was born in a humble stable,
In surroundings crude and bare,
No other rooms could be found,
In a manger, She laid Him with care
The angels sang praises and glory,
Heralding the birth of our Lord
Proclaiming the news to shepherds,
Who then came, in one accord.
Wise men came to seek Him,
Followed a guiding star
With priceless gifts they sought Him,
As they traveled from afar.
They knelt before our Savior
Giving praise and honor that day
Knowing that Jesus had come
To show us the truth and the way.
This sounds like a simple story,
And one that has long been told,
But the gift that our Savior offers,
Is more precious than finest pure gold.
For this was just the beginning
Of a life of example, He taught,
The secret of finding the truth,
Is one that cannot be bought.
Let us rejoice in our Savior.
For the gift He came down to give.
To show us the way to heaven,
And teach us how we should live.
Jesus Christ came down to save us,
Gave His life to cleanse us of sin.
By His great love, He redeemed us,
May we choose to follow Him?
