After each prayer of thanks unto Him, she lifted her arms toward Heaven laughed and praised His name. After awhile, she got up and noticed I was kneeling beside her listening to her prayers to Jesus.
I looked up at her and said, "Why do you laugh and lift your arms up in the air when you pray."
She looked down at me and said, "I was communicating with the most important Man in my life."
"More important than Daddy," I asked.
She cups my small head against her chest and answers, "Yes, our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the one who hears, sees and knows everything. I feel it is important to give thanks unto Him for the blessings He gives to our daily lives, and to give back honor unto Him; therefore, I take time out of every day to give praise and laughter for my happiness back to Him."
"Do I know this Man? Does He know me? Why can't I see Him? Is He my Father too?" I asked.
Her arms encircled me, pulled me closer, and whispered, "Yes, you know this Man, it's Jesus, Jesus, the Man, I've read you stories and told you about since the day you were born. He is the Father of everyone who accepts Him as their Lord and Savior and believes He died for our sins. He knew you long before I did. We can't see Him now but we will, one day, when we meet Him in Heaven.
"Jennie, do you believe the stories I've told you about Jesus, and that He died for our sins?" I asked.
Studying for a while I hesitated and replied, "Yes, I believe in Jesus, I talk to Him every night like you do and He slips His protective arms around me when I'm afraid and helps me to go to sleep. I haven't ever lifted my arms up and laughed, but I will from now on."
