When we are weak, we are strongest.
In times of sadness, we can be glad.
'Tho born in sin, we are forgiven.
Safe, 'tho surrounded by bad.
Poor, yet possessing great riches!
Pilgrim on earth, owning a heavenly home
Persecuted, yet rejoicing.
Space-bound, yet in touch with God's throne.
'Tho tempted, more than conquerors.
Facing death, yet unafraid.
'Tho stricken, finding blest comfort.
Owing great debt, finding it paid!
Sinful, yet dressed in righteousness.
Faithless, yet miracles see.
In turmoil, yet knowing great peace.
From the shackles of sin set free.
When starved for affectiion, loved by God.
Wen hungry for sustenance, abundantly fed.
When despairing and defeated, given hope
When groping in darkness, with certainty
led.
When fretting and restless, given patience.
When thorns line our way, know God's grace.
When losing our loved ones, on promises
rest.
When example we long for, see the Master's face.
When others fail us, know His unfailing love.
When lacking in wisdom, have His thoughts within.
When unable to pray, by the Holy Spirit aided.
Never all alone, with spiritual kin.
The Christian life cannot be explained
By the limited human mind --
God is the Giver of all these gifts.
Answers to these enigmas in Him we find.
