I always admired there consistent, act of being morale in their life values, also their overflowing love. For teaching young developing minds. We had many teacher’s who were from the old school, if you acted out the ruler across the hand, was very painful. Be I quests some teacher’s believed this to be an affective way, to control anyone out of line. A lot of teacher’s, were very stern in their teachings, if a person was tardy, frequently you know dentention, was coming and a talk with your parents. Through these diverse methods of teaching, we needed to have the experience of both type of teacher’s.
I would like to share with all of you, about my six grade teacher, her name was Mrs. Witnah. She had the experience of teaching me and my two older brother’s. She really was a wonderful teacher, she never overlooked a student who my be having difficulty in class subjects,or maybe there were upsets at home, affecting a students grades. This was the case with me, my was killed in an autmobile accident. I was struggling with my studies, and being very withdrawn, she took notice and talk with me after school.
She took this special time to ask me what was wrong, as I told her the loss of my father, has affected me greatly and I can’t concentrate at this time. She talked with my mother and discussed this issue in length. My teacher was so compassionate, she would work with me after school to bring my grades up. There were’nt many teacher’s who would take time like this to help a student. I thought if ever wanted be a teacher, I would like to like Mrs. Witnah, and the Buckley sister’s. Among all the teacher’s, I have held high in my life, this one will always have a lasting impression on me as well. This is the teaching of Jesus Christ.
Through all these life’s lessons, these instructions of these great teacher’s, have shaped and molded my life. This is how I perceive we can all be students, and we can have the ability to teachers too. By the way we conduct our daily lives, with the obedience of being a teachable student. The lessons from our great teacher’s. Which have provided us with tools, which we can use, to become affective teacher’s of a spirtual life, to teach us how to properly share our life’s experiences with others. What an awesome opportunity we have within our daily reach.
So if we all look at this aspect of being students, and teacher’s in our daily walk in life. Maybe we will be come more mindful, of our conduct and actions we display in our spiritual walk with the Lord. Who knows how much life’s we may be affecting, with this thought in mind, this brings, me to the point of accountability. Is so easy to say well I have them at home so many hours. Now it’s to the school to do the rest of directing and discipline of our children.
My dear and close friend, and I were discussing this very topic, recalling our experiences of the teachers we had, and what was left lasting imprints on our minds. There were the compassionate, and creative instructive teacher’s, which gave us guidance and sound direction. The one’s which gave us good feedback, on all of our progress, and life potential. We discussed the one’s who were heavy-handed, and highly critical of their students, if they weren’t meeting their expectations.
We concluded the benefits of both teaching styles, also they way in Jesus Christ, put forth his teachings, in a firm but compassionate contexts. Our final thought was what a blessing, it would be if more teacher’s would use Jesus Christ’s, mastery of devine teaching, with all our upcoming students in this generation and the one to follow. We can plant the seed of hope; all students will explore their capabilities, of becoming valued teachers in society.
