"Linen turbans shall be on their heads and linen undergarments shall be on their loins; they shall not gird themselves with {anything which makes them} sweat.
We are in the age where people strive to 'move' the kingdom of God. They claim God has called them to minister to His people in power and in glory. They labour like camels to bring people to the church and get 'saved'. They even promise all kind of blessings from God if you can give to their ministry.
But the truth of the matter is that the kingdom of God cannot be moved by any man. People can strive to advance their own purpose, but Yahweh's own cannot be done that way. It's Him only that has the power to advance his own purposes on the earth.
All the labour that many-a-man does only shows their selfish ambitions and not the love for the Lord. Do not misunderstand me, there are many ministers today that handles God's work in a right way, but most men today strive not according to the rules, they labour to satisfy their own personal vision and not God's. Did God really tell you to build that auditorium? Do you really need it. And who told you you won't get recognition if you don't strive to preach in other peoples churches. True recognition comes only from God, not men. We must endeavour to enter into the rest of God so as to gain His peace. Faith in God must be exercised in other to meets our needs - whether ministerial needs or personal needs.
In the bible passage above, God ordered his priests not to sweat in his presence; no giving off of human heat; no human energy must be expended in ministering to him, so that man will not claim the glory or have anything to be proud of in this matter. But all glory must belong to God.
This article does not only talk to preachers but to the people commonly known as 'laymen' (we are all priests and kings unto God). Serving Yahweh's is simple and without burden, His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Serve god accordingly, trust him and He will do wonders in your live. Don't try to 'help' Him, for He will do what He will do. You had better not sweat in His presence! Enter His rest so as to acheive His peace.
