One thing I delight in is singing.
When I can communicate with someone through the medium of music, the effect is electrifying.
The music I sing is only for the glory of Christ. But the joy it brings me and to the people that hear it, makes it all worthwhile.
When I perform at church, the whole room is suddenly still and you can hear a pin drop. Even the children are silent. That fact amazes me more than anything, for children rarely sit still.
When I am singing, magical things take place. People are listening, worshipping.
Hearts are changing.
The Holy Spirit moves among them. He touches hearts and uses the music to weave his way into the thoughts of many people.
The song is unforgettable. In itself, the song is nothing, but combined with instruments and voice, then the song receives power.
When the sound comes out, it is a gift from God that cannot be denied. He speaks through me and I am awed by his presence.
The whole room becomes his holy place and everyone can feel it. Even if they cannot feel it, they are silent before him.
