As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for you, O'God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God?
Our soul thirsts to come before the living God and thirsts for His presence.
"As the deer pants for the water brooks", Wow what an illustration Gods Word uses to help us to understand about thirst.
I have been in the woods many times with my husband and have seen deer run, roam, feed and actually run from the enemy.
A deer seeks water for two reasons; one, because he is thirsty and two because he is being chased by another animal. He knows his scent will be lost if he gets into the water, and he will be safe.
As for us as believers we thirsts for the presence of God, we thirst for His Word, His Wisdom and He satisfies our soul and keeps us safe.
Those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled.
O' how our God wants to satisfy our soul and give us the wisdom, the understanding, the hope and the care.
Keep thirsting for Him.
