There it is! No, that’s not it, where is it? They said it was right in front of me, why can’t I see it. I can’t find it anywhere. I’m tired of looking. I think I’ve read that stuff before anyway, it’s just a bunch of rules with strange ideas. I’ll just look for something else to read. Oh, what’s that? Thanks, I was looking for that book earlier. Let’s see what it says again. It’s been awhile since I first tried to read this stuff. It’s just what I thought, strange. I don’t understand it at all. What does that have to do with us today! Whatever. This book is a definite reject. I don’t want it, that’s for sure! Throw that one away.

Well, let me look one more time before this goes into the trash heap. Okay, who is Peter? I’ll start here at 1 Peter 5:10. Here is what it says:

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

Wow, what an awesome God! He knows that I suffer and will eventually rescue me? Why doesn’t He just reject me? I sure am not perfect. The God of all Grace, that is something that is amazing. The God of the Bible will Himself, establish me? How could this be, I would throw me away, but He wants me for His eternal glory? I better keep this book and see what other strange stuff is in it; and to think I almost threw it away.
