She weeps,
Tears soaking her pillow.
Strands across her brow;
Branches of a willow.
This life,
The sins that ensnare.
She wails,
Her man no longer there.
Questions,
Her heart crying out.
Why did I?
Pain an empty shout.
Memories,
Flashes of bitter light.
Her chosen gown,
Silken strands of white.
The years,
Emptiness filling in.
A deadened heart,
Attracted now to sin.
The day,
Paths that shouldn’t have crossed.
They did,
Testing what’s the cost.
Subtle,
Crossing the bridge unknown.
Shearing the threads,
Of once a Godly home.
Secrets,
Cocooned in a blurred eye.
Her heart given,
An unknown deceptive lie.
Joy tainted,
In that it can’t be shared.
Warnings ringing,
It’s him who doesn’t care.
She weeps,
Tears soaking her pillow.
Strands across her brow;
Branches of a willow.
A lesson,
Only life can teach.
The Answer,
Always within her reach.
Pain that’s real,
Yes, God understands.
Weeping willow;
Gathered in His hands.
She cries,
For she knows He let her choose.
But why,
Have my bands been not let loosed?
Tightened,
Digging deep within.
Agonizing,
The consequence of sin.
Yet the Voice whispers,
Deep within her soul.
Only I can satisfy,
To make the broken whole.
