It was the morning of celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary and we were waking up to the sounds of birds all around us. From a far distance you could hear the sound of an owl. Lying still under our covers and listening to all the sounds from the woods we could feel the dew from the early morning. And right next to us we could hear water splashing.
We pulled our anchor up and cruised the waters edge. There was no other boats insight. We
could only see the dew lifting up off the water. The sight of the full rich green trees and the still
waters was a sight to see.
We could still hear the splashes around our boat and hear them across the lake. The fish were
busy that morning. Every cast we pulled a fish in. One of my casts went over the limb of a tree and got caught on a twig and dropped into the water and my husband said, " just leave it there and see if you catch a fish, and if it is heavy enough it will pull your line out of the tree."
We laughed so hard seeing my floater bob up and down. Then my line took off under the water
and it pulled the rest of the line that was in the tree out and I am holding onto my rod trying to reel it in. Yes, I finally reeled my fish in.
We had a blessed day fishing, laughing, and enjoying the nature of things.
