Come and I will teach you how to fish for eternity.
What you're fishing for-how long will it last?He so gently and pointedly asked of me.
Seeing my tired body bent with worry and sorrow,He said
After all your tears and all your toil,
Where will you find yourself at the end of your years?
Who are you fishing for?
Come and fish with me. And,I will make you a fisherman of the King.
My fish are the many.
They are let out of filthy snares.
The are let out of the strangling nets of the world.
And, as their scales fall off
The light of eternity
They come to see.
And, then I quickened and turned to Him and said,
I'm a fisherman of the King.
I'm fishing for the glory of heaven to see.
I'm casting out the line of His truth
For all to understand the mightyness of His love.
There is such a hungry, thrashing world in the darkness
in that murky, slippery, grasping lightless void.
The snares and the nets
Disappear in the blinding light of the goodness of his glory and truth.
The swirling, whirling downward thrust of the grave
Has forever been defeated
By the light of the lifeline of the King.
He dredges us up from the bottomless fathoms of death's despair
To His light
To life everlasting.
What are you fishing for?
Who are you fishing for?
Come and fish with me. And, I will make you a fisherman of the King, He said.
