The word Resolutions makes me think of the word "Results". What results do I want at the end of this new year?
Many people are now making resolutions for the New Year. How much weight they will lose? Will they make a change in their carrier? Will they spend more time with their children? The list goes on and on.
My resolution has to do with my life as a Christian. I would like to make more time for reading my Bible. So many times this past year, as I began to read the word, sleep took over.
I would also like to share my faith more than I did this past year; and I would also like to visit the sick more.
Will I accomplish these goals? With the help of God I will. These goals are attainable, if I keep my focus on God.
Who will gain from my Resolutions? Will I? In some sense I will, but I pray that the people on the other end will gain as well.
My Resolutions can never be only focused on me. It's all about helping others and when my focus begins to take an outward turn, and then I think that I as a person will grow spiritually.
