Believers are given power to accomplish whatever task is set before them. We can lay hand on the sick, and they will recover because we were given the power in which to lay hands. We can pull down strongholds, because we were given the power in Jesus name to accomplish this. There is nothing that we cannot do, because all authority has been given to the Believer.
A President of a Corporation has less power than a Believer who sweeps the streets. That President has to be voted in his office. He only has authority in the Company in which he runs. If he tries to lay hand on the sick, he has no power, nor was he given that authority. If he tries to cast out demons, he will fail, because again, he has not been given any power, nor has he been given the authority.
Now the Believer, who sweeps the street, doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone; he is powerful, because he walks in the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ.
He has all authority to lay hand on the sick, to cast out demons, and to pray in the name of Jesus. He doesn’t need to be voted in for his position. The Lord Jesus Christ has chosen him, has equipped him and will use him to glorify his name.
Every Believer has been given power over every situation, every force of darkness; we can call those things as if they are. We can speak life into every situation; we can accomplish the task at hand because the Lord Jesus Christ has given us Power in which to do this.
As Believers we are mighty, powerful, able to accomplish whatever work the Lord has given us to do. Not only does he give us the power to accomplish the task, but he is also there with us.
We need not be wimpy as Christians, we don’t need to be afraid, because Jesus has given us all Power, all Authority in his name. We can walk boldly with the assurance that Jesus Christ is doing the work in and through us.
