Praising God was easy too
Now when I try to sing
Anchor’s memory comes flowing through
I’ve done all I could to stop it
Nothing seems to work
Painful tears begin to fall
I suddenly feel my heart jerk
I don’t know what to do
I don’t know where to turn
All I know is emptiness
because the Anchor
bridge has burned
God, where are
You ?
Can’t You see
My pain ?
God, I need
You
My tears have
begun to rain
God, my heart
cries for You
I feel like I’m
beneath a train
God, my soul
aches for You
the Anchor has
broken the chain
God, my life
is empty without You
I’m lonely and
in so much pain
God, my mind
longs for You
but my hurt feels like
a bullet to my brain
