TITLE: Hold on to Hope

While living far away from family, I can recall the words my sister would say when I had a problem. Her words were ‘Hold on to hope! Your blessing is coming. God is still on the throne. Is there anything too hard for God?’ It was her way of saying you can face anything when your hope is in God. I’ve learned that hope was just an extension of faith.
Say you’re faced with a difficult situation, PRAY! Prayer is always the answer. Now just wait with confidence for it to come to pass. You’ve just moved from hope to faith. Hope should always be directed to the One who is able to meet your need. ‘Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.’ I’d like to describe hope as the legal document of faith. Hope is not an act of wishful thinking, but it works side by side with faith. Faith is the key that releases the resources of heaven into your situation. “For without faith it is impossible to please God, for he that comes must first believe that He is and that He is a rewarder if them who diligently seek Him.”
Hebrews 10:23 says, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Jesus taught faith could remove mountains, obstacles or problems. Hold on to hope! Believe that help is on the way when you pray. He will answer your every prayer. He will open a door. He will make a way out of no way. Our Lord Jesus is the perfect security in every storm of life. So hold on! Your blessing is coming.
