Forsaken scattered mass
As through this vision God makes known
The future destined for His own—
How all will come to pass.
Dry bones depict the Jews displaced
In far-flung foreign climes—
God’s elect, the chosen race
Are pictured in this doleful waste
Throughout the Gentile times.
But then—a noise—a rattling sound—
These bones are made alive
The scene of death is turned around
The scattered nation, raised, rebounds—
By God they are revived.
All this is happening today,
The nation back in place,
The wanderers long gone astray
As He ordained are back to stay—
May they know His saving grace!
A day of trouble’s yet in store
(I wish it were not so)
A day of darkness, death and war
Like none that ever went before
As Scriptures clearly show.
Let no one think that God might spurn
The covenanted race—
He chastens them that they might turn,
Through times of judgment they might learn
To seek Him for His grace.
The end result—The Lord redeems
His elect and brings them through,
What God declared to seers in dreams
Will come to pass just as He deems—
God has purposed—He will do.

Such a beautifully descriptive poem and I really like how you tied the dry bones of Ezekiel to God calling his elect.
Well-deserved EC entry.
