The signal sign of saving grace
In every soul professing Christ
Is old desires that long enticed
Have lost their lure since Christ sufficed.
That those in Christ should bear much fruit
By His Spirit leading us in truth
Is not an option but a fact;
The power we have which we long lacked
Now evident in how we act.
Sanctification as it’s known
Is all of God and Him alone—
His Spirit working in our hearts
Can pierce the hidden inward parts
And He’ll complete the work He starts.
Changed lives should then impact the world—
To unbelief God’s grace unfurled
Brings life and light to places dark,
Stirs up a heart, ignites a spark—
The Word and Spirit are at work.
This is the recipe for peace—
(Should all know Christ their search would cease)
Elusive peace man can’t achieve
While onto manmade concepts cleave—
The answer is— Repent! Believe!
So shine your light in your small sphere
To be His witness while you’re here;
Walk in the Spirit day by day,
Let everything you do and say
Point others to the only Way.
One day He’ll raise the sanctified,
Those designated as His Bride
To share the throne where He now sits
To ever dwell in Heaven’s bliss—
Hallelujah—How great is this!
