Is a day that I’ll always embrace
When truth pierced the deep of a soul long asleep
And awoke to His marvellous grace.
So I’ll sing of His grace through all of my days
‘All glory to God and to Christ’
Whose mercy extends to all lost in their sins
Whose death paid our purchasing price.
His Light entered in and cleansed me of sin
The darkness that ruled me deposed
Old things passed away, new life here to stay
No longer to evil disposed.

To all the unsaved by darkness enslaved
God’s mercy is also for you
But all must assent to Christ and repent
And they can be justified too.

One day gathered home ‘round Christ on His throne
We will sing to the Lamb a new song—
How blessed the thought! All Jesus’ blood bought—
A glorious numberless throng
All singing His praise through eternity’s days

For days without end our song will ascend
